This is a spur of the moment trip because I need to get photos for a website project.

Date: Friday, Feb 24, 2012. Leave Salt Lake City at 2 pm. Arrive at the tubes a couple hours before sundown.

Get some initial shots and be in position to shoot in earnest at sundown. Return to Salt Lake City by about 10 pm.

The tubes are an unusual art project in the middle of nowhere. They are about 40 miles north of Wendover in the Great Salt Lake Desert. They are concrete tubes positions to align with the sun during the solstices. Many people visit the area for the solsistices. This time of year the area will probably be deserted.

None of my normal companions can come. I would rather not go alone so I'm looking for a rider or two.
