echo reservoir 1Echo Reservoir usually offers fair to good trout fishing and good action for smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Rainbows are common but there are also a few browns and cutts in the water. Less common but still present are walleye and black crappie.

Echo traditionally offers good ice fishing for rainbows and perch. During summer, smallmouth are relatively easy to catch in the rocks along the shorelines. Trout fishing slows during summer but picks up again in the fall.

Echo is located along I-80 near Coalville, in northern Utah. It is an impoundment of the Weber River.

There is a nice concrete boat ramp on the north side of the reservoir. Drive into Coalville and then follow the Echo Dam Road north to the ramp.

Facilities:

Echo is a Utah state park. In addition to the concrete ramp there is a primative campground and picnic areas, with restrooms nearby.

During summer, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards can be rented at the state park.
