Acoma Pueblo, also known as “Sky City,” is a unique Indian Pueblo that sits hundreds of feet atop a mesa, overlooking the beautiful landscape below. Visitors to the Acoma Pueblo are privileged to glimpse into the history, culture, way of life, and art of the Acoma People.

The visitor center is located at the base of the mesa, and features a museum and fine Acoma pottery, which the Acoma people are especially known for, and some of which is for sale. Visitors can also tour the 1629 Franciscan Mission church of San Estevan and the ancient graveyard just outside the church.

Several restaurants and shops are also located in the area.

Acoma Pueblo is located about an hour west of Albuquerque, NM. Take I-40 west for 52 miles, take exit 108, then take CR 12A south 12 miles. View the website for more information http://www.indianpueblo.org/19pueblos/acoma.html
