The annual Flaming Gorge Burbot Bash will be held Jan 26-28, 2018.
Burbot are an evasive fish that has become well-established in Flaming Gorge. Wildlife biologists would like to restrict or cut back their numbers and so they encourage catch and keep.
Burbot are fun to catch and are good to eat.
The fishing contest is sponsored by the Flaming Gorge Chamber of Commerce and offers over $25,000 in cash and prizes.
