This pattern evolved from a wager I had with my employer. The bet was that I couldn’t catch a fish on Tibble Fork Reservoir (a lake where he always had bad luck). l was to tie the fly at the lake and land a fish within 30 minutes, Being one to never back down from a dare, I accepted.

I designed this fly to be very easy to tie - hence the name Quick Tie. Incidentally, I won the bet by landing six small browns in 30 minutes.
