In January, 2021, Travis Hobbs caught a huge cutthroat at Bear Lake. He submitted evidence and DWR has certified it as a new Bear Lake Cutthroat catch-and-relese record. The fish measured 31 inches.

Bear Lake cutthroat are native to the large lake and big ones are caught quite frequently.
