Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources has a great new article talking about reservoirs offering plenty of room for ice fishing.
This year (2018) temperatures have been relatively warm and so waters have been slow to freeze. As a result, crowds have been pounding the few popular frozen waters. Now, with Strawberry frozen, angers are able to spread out a bit.
In this article, DWR biologists recommend these waters which don't get as much pressure as reservoirs closer to the Wasatch Front:
- Fish Lake
- Otter Creek Reservoir
- Browns Draw
- Flaming Gorge
