The hike up Kanarra Creek and over two beautiful waterfalls has become very popular in recent years. So popular that officials are now implementing a permit system to control access.
At this writing, there will not be a limit to the number of permits issued. Officials expect the cost of the permit will deter some hikers. If it becomes needed, a quota system will be implemented.
Permits cost $8 per hiker or $25 per non-profit small group. A new website provides information about the hike. Permits can be purchased online or at the trailhead.
