We found a great spot to collect jasper, with a little help from a nice lady at a rock shop in the town of Enterprise, UT. The predominant color was red but we also found a range of other colors. The area is a sure hit, where it is very easy to find nice rocks.

Holt Canyon Road heads south from Bench Road, just east of Enterprise. We were told to drive south on Holt to a prominent fork, then go left, then take the next right, then follow the rough road up to the top of the ridge. We soon came to a spot where red jasper was easily visible on the road and also on both sides.

The road is rough and high clearance is needed, but we did not need four-wheel drive.

We also kicked around in the wash in the bottom of Holt Canyon and found a range of interesting rocks including jasper and quartz.

We visited on April 26, 2022. The weather was perfect. There are a couple nice camping spots along Holt Canyon Road. Next trip we will take the kids, camp, and explore farther.
