Camp Cooking: How to Make Dutch Oven Pizza

Dough: 1/2 cup warm water1 tablespoon dry yeast1 cup flour1/2 teaspoon salt2 tablespoons oil

Sauce and toppings to taste.

Add yeast to water and let stand a few minutes. Mix dough ingredients in a bowl and then allow to rise until double in volume. (You may want to put the dough in warm water or a sunny spot to encourage rising.)

If you intend to remove the pizza from your oven for serving, line the oven with aluminum foil. Otherwise grease the bottom of your oven. Oil your fingers and spread the dough over the bottom and slightly up the sides of your oven.

Add sauce, cheese and desired toppings.

Bake in a moderate oven with most of the coals on the oven's lid. Cooking time will be about 20 minutes. Check crust occasionally to make sure it doesn't burn. Adjust the number of coals if needed.
