Red Hill Hot Springs is located in Monroe, UT, near the larger and more famous Mystic Hot Springs. Mystic is a private resort that is nice but expensive. Red Hill is open to the public, free, and relatively unknown.

Red Hill offers three soaking pools. Two are small and can only accommodate a couple of people The larger pool can accommodate a small group. The smaller pools are closer to the source and therefore have hotter water. When we visited (early June) the two smaller pools had water almost too hot. They would be great during the colder season. The water temperature in the larger pool was perfece.

The two smaller pools had clear water. In the larger, the water was a little murky. We don't know if that is normal. The water was still inviting, even though it was murky.

To reach the springs, from downtown Monroe drive east on 300 N. The road will swing slightly NE as it approaches the foothills and lead right to the springs.

It appears the area is managed by the town of Monroe. There is a restroom on site and signs saying the area is monitored and nudity is not allowed. The restroom was very dirty, and that is unfortunate.

In all, it is worth a stop if you are in the area and don't want to pay to go to Mystic.
