We have been told this area is closed and the pools are being removed.

This is a very pretty, quite popular, waterfall and swimming hole located along I-15 in northwestern Arizona. Turquoise blue water gushes out of a natural spring and cascades and falls down a colorful rock face into a pool deep enough for swimming. The water is warm but not hot, making this a nice place to relax almost year-round. In the heat of summer it feels very nice.

There are always people here, including older teens but also families.

Drive I-15 bettween St. George and Mesquite and take the Desert Springs Exit. Coming  from St. George, that is the first exit as you drive west after exiting the Virgin River Gorge. The falls are on the south side of the freeway. Follow the frontage road until it dead ends, then make the short but steep hike to the falls and pool. People also wade and swim in the river below the falls.

The Virgin River has been on the north side of I-15 but crosses under the freeway Here. The springs are on the side of the river gorge, almost right under the bridge. They are easy to find.
