St. George/Zion area is one of our favorites and we go there often. The map below shows locations of some of our favorite places to hike, camp, and play. (Also see our St. George winter trip plan.)

We are based in northern Utah and so we usually drive. St. George has a nice regional airport with connecting flights to/from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, so flying is a viable option.

There are many great lodging and dining establishments in the area. About half the time we lodge someplace nice. Other times we camp, usually in the boondocks near where we want to play. There are many nice developed campgrounds and RV parks but they fill up quickly during most of the year.

Summers are very hot, but we still go to play in the water and explore the mountains. Spring, fall, and winter are delightful. We camp year-round and enjoy hiking and biking on mild winter days.
