The Lost City Museum is located along Hwy 169 in Overton, NV, just a short distance from the Overton Arm of Lake Mead and near the turnoff to Valley of Fire State Park.

The museum was built in 1935 to house artifacts recovered before being flooded by Lake Mead's rising water and destroyed by surrounding community development. Most artifacts and displays are from the Virgin River Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan) culture, along with information on other local Native Americans.

We really enjoyed visiting the museum as we were on our way to Valley of Fire. It is a fun place to spend an hour or two.
